At Desert Sky Women’s Healthcare, women can find comprehensive, compassionate care from conception throughout the postpartum period by our OBGYN. We can accommodate not only normal pregnancy and birth, but also high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. We encourage you to be a partner in your health care decisions by communicating your wishes with the intention of developing YOUR optimal birth experience together with your OBGYN.
We offer a wide range of birthing options, depending on your personal preferences, pregnancy risks and labor situation. For qualified patients looking for a non-invasive genetic testing, we offer optional early screening. We also have ultrasound in office for convenient scheduling.
We proudly provide delivery services at Trios Women’s and Children’s Hospital to ensure quality care for all families. They provide private all-inclusive rooms with well-trained nurses, lactation support, 24-hour anesthesia service and a special care nursery certified to care for infants who are born at 32 weeks gestation or later.

Midwifery Care Services
Whether you opt for an OBGYN, or a Midwife, we offer full-scope midwifery services to our clients within an office that allows for more specialized care when needed. Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) are registered nurses who have graduated from an accredited midwifery education program and passed a national certification exam. In Washington state, CNMs have Master’s Degrees, and are licensed through the Washington State Board of Nursing.
CNMs provide primary care for women across their lifespan ~ From Sunrise to Sunset; For Every Age and Every Stage. Midwives care for women from adolescence through menopause, with a special emphasis on pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecologic and reproductive health.
Midwives perform comprehensive physical exams and prescribe medications, including all forms of contraception. CNMs provide quality and compassionate care for expectant mothers and women of all ages. This includes:
- Prenatal and postpartum care
- Family planning and contraception
- Well-woman gynecology exams
- Gynecologic problems
- Preconception counseling
- Infertility assessments
- Nutrition counseling

Gynecology/OBGYN
Our OBGYN providers offer advice and education on healthcare issues for all stages of a woman’s life.
Annual Preventative Visits
Annual OBGYN Preventative Visits examinations are recommended for all ages of women. This includes a thorough review of your health history, Pap smears, self-breast examination education, nutrition and exercise advice, family planning counseling, lab tests and mammogram screening after age 40. This also includes addressing any specific health concerns you may have.
Colposcopy
In the case of abnormal Pap smear results from the OBGYN, we provide recommended options, which can include the need for a colposcopy. This is an in-depth cervical examination, which may require us to take samples of abnormal areas of the cervix. This is an in-office procedure that does not require anesthesia.
Contraception
Choosing a method of contraception is an important decision that could impact your daily life. At Desert Sky Women’s Healthcare, we provided personalized counseling for the increasing amount of contraception options, including advantages and disadvantages of each.
Hormonal options include:
- Birth control pills
- Extended use pills
- The patch
- NuvaRing
- Nexplanon
- Depo-Provera injection
- Mirena IUD
Non-Hormonal options include:
- Diaphragm
- Paragard IUD
- Permanent sterilization
- Natural family planning options
STD Screening & Treatment
Some Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD’s) have no symptoms. Periodic testing is recommended for anyone at increased risk. There are various treatments and procedures your OBGYN can provide for each different sexually transmitted disease. We offer confidential counseling and treatment for all sexually transmitted disease as well as perform in office cryotherapy for genital warts/condyloma.
Menopausal Treatment
Many women going through menopause suffer from a wide range of symptoms: irregular bleeding, hot flashes, insomnia, night sweats, fatigue, anxiety and more. There are several treatments options available to help relieve these symptoms including prescription medications with estrogen and progesterone or bioidentical hormone replacement. Our providers will work with you to decide which is the best options for you.
Pelvic Pain & Abnormal Discharge
Desert Sky Women’s Healthcare offers comprehensive and confidential treatment of acute or chronic pain and/or discharge/ We can evaluate, diagnose and treat all causes from endometriosis to sexually transmitted diseases.
Irregular and/or Abnormal Bleeding
Abnormal uterine bleeding can occur at any age and has many causes. Our OBGYN providers will work with you to determine the cause and best treatment for you.
